We use a color-coded tier system, and it works like this:

Frequently Asked Questions

When you place your order through the PC Builder, the configuration will be assigned to one of our experienced system builders. They will be your point of contact throughout the entire build and delivery process. They will check all items, all underlying compatibility, and offer any improvements or alterations with plain speaking English – this will allow you to make an informed decision on the final specification.  Once the final specification has been agreed the system is built, tested and then shipped.

2. We aim to deliver all systems on standard build selection within 5 to 7 working days after the final specification has been approved, working days are Monday to Friday. 

Systems placed on Express build service will be aimed to be delivered within 2 to 4 working days after final specification has been approved,  please make sure if you are ordering on our Express service to include valid email and telephone contact details so our system building team can contact you in case of any issues regarding the specificaion or product selection and accelerate the build process.

All of the above will be communicated clearly throughout the build process from your assigned system builder.

All PC’s go through a 24 point test. These ensure that all hardware and software are ready to use.  A 2 hour burn-in test, and then a final 24 hour stability test is performed to make sure the system is rock solid in all aspects before despatch.

None.  We do not provide any additional software - the system will be as clean as possible and not include any “bloatware”.  All that will be installed on your bespoke PC will be the operating system to the “Out of Box Experience” (this is the initial start up of Windows that allows you to decide on the information you share with Microsoft and how the machine is configured for your personal use), the drivers for all hardware, and  additional software for the Motherboard and Graphics card (for controlling lighting and additional system settings, or the graphics vendors driver update and configuration utility).

 

We try to keep it as clean as can be so that you are straight into using the machine as quickly as possible. We even make sure all updates for Windows have been performed (up until the bespoke PC is signed off for despatch.  Obviously, there may be updates released between shipment and set-up, so we can never 100% guarantee updates won’t be required on first set-up).

All PC’s are shipped in the case box (in some instances if the box is flimsy the PC will be double boxed).  Remove the PC from the box carefully. Please note that systems that have large CPU coolers and large graphics cards, the internals will be packed with anti-static Styrofoam and bubble packaging to stop movement during shipment. Your builder will alert you to how the internals have been packaged and what to remove prior to setting the PC up for the first time. All systems are shipped with DHL and can be tracked straight to your door, with a time window of delivery provided on the day of delivery.

Your system builder doesn’t just build your system - they will be there to continue support after you have received your machine, no matter what your issue.

Simple answer is not really. Windows Defender has scored perfect scores recently and is as good as any 3rd party Anti Virus suites.  AV-Test.org (a company who test effectiveness of Anti Virus software) have marked it consistently as one of the highest performing AV protection suites.
